    Ceiling fan problem
I am having a problem with our Hunter remote controlled ceiling fan. It worked properly for two years, the this started, it has been checked and is properly wired, etc. I call it the haunted fan. You leave the room and the light and the fan are off, later you return to the room and either or both the fan and the light are on... the fan could be at any of 3 speeds and the light may be on or off or just the light may be on. After this happened in the middle of the night several times we learned to take the remote off the switch and turn the switch off. It's a rude awakening at 2:00 am to have the light on or the fan on high!
We first changed the batteries, then bought a new remote as we thought the old one wasn't working, the new one does the same thing. Any ideas anyone?
