    If it is the flat globe style, lightly push up on the globe and turn it to the left, it should loosen and drop out.

    Yes,the problem has been getting the globe off. I will try your suggestion and if that doesn't work, I'll try to find the manual online. It is a 52" aero ceiling fan, about 5 years old. I don't see a model number on the information I have, which is just how to install it.
