    Ceiling Fan Light Fixture_Bulbs POP
Why do the fancy light bulbs in my ceiling fan "pop" leaving the base stuck inside? It happens more frequently than I would think is normal.

I am a widow and I have no one to ask. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

    Thank you.

Cheap bulbs, excessive heat (let the whole fixture cool down before changing them), and turn gently. You can put some vasoline on the screw part of the bulb before you screw it in if you like. VERY little.

And to remove the stuck ends, use half a potato.

I am currently remodeling my home and am coming across a major problem that NO ONE seems to have an answer for. I have two ceiling fans that operate via remote control. The rest of the ones in my home are the popular "pull down" chains - and those work prefectly with the new fan/light dimmers...
