    My ceiling fan doesn't work
In the middle of the night, my ceiling fan fell. I am assuming the brackets weren't installed properly. And after installing the brackets properly & rehooking the fan back up, now my fan doesn't work at all..

You could have easily pulled a wire out of the motor. HOWEVER, the big concern is the fan falling. You said you reinstalled it. Did you use the old box or put in a fan rated box. The reason they fall is that the old boxes only have less than a 1/8 " screw surface. Rated boxes are $5 and usually easy to install. Don't risk serious injury with a non rated box!
