    Ceiling fan does not work w/remote
    My fan is less than 1 year old. The light and fan do not come on with the remote. The red light on the remote works.
    I have changed the battery in the remote and checked the bulbs in the light. Is there a way to check if the receiver is bad? Anything else to try?

    Open both the hand held remote and the canopy tp onsire all the dip switches match. To be safe I move all switches on both to ON. Any better?

    Check the dip switches as B suggests.

    Does the fan have pullchains?
