    Ceiling fan connection
I'm connecting a Hunter fan and they said, since I have only one switch to operate the unite, to connect the white to white, black tp black and the black and white to the black wire coming down from the ceiling. However, I have a white and black and a red wire coming down from the ceiling and the old fan I removed had a black, white and blue that was connected black-black, white-white and blue-red, so I connected the new fan white-white, black-black, black and white-red. Now the fan motor has juice but not the light! I guess I need to go back and do the black and black/wht to black? Do I just cap off the red wire?

It should work when connected as you stated. Was the switch on when you tested it?

Is the light wired properly in the housing?
