    Ceiling fan blades not moving but light comes on
    Just installed ceiling fan with light kit. Wiring question... black to black... white to white... red to the bicolored for wall switch. Light kit turns on but blades do not move. Tried reverse switch... pull chains...

    Are there 2 switches? Ablack and red would infer such or a 14/3 wire. Did you check for power at the red and black? Is there a blue wire?
