    Ceiling Fan
I have a three wire running from the switch to the fan. Fan has a light. Power comes from the ceiling (not the switch box). Fan has a black, white, black/white and ground. Suggestions for wiring the fan and the switch.

    1. When you say three wires are you including ground?

    2. What switches do you have to control the fan?

Question 1. When I say three wires, I did not incude the ground. Therefore, the wire from the box to the fan is four wires. The power wire to the fan is three wires (including the ground).
Question 2. I have one switch to control the fan/light. The switch has one control for the fan, one for the light.

Ok, pretty simple. Connect black-black, white-white, red-black/white striped, and ground to ground. If this does not control it correctly switch the black and red wires.
