    Ceiling Fan
I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that is a few years old and runs almost continulusly in summer. Initial problem was that it recently started running only at full speed regardless of the speed it was set at. Then it stopped running entirely, though the light still works and you can hear the motor humming if it is set at any one of the 3 speeds. It has sealed bearings, but do you think it needs oiling or do I need to replace it? It was an inexpensive fan. Thanks for any help.

Does it have a remote? If not, sounds like bad capacitor(s).
