Can't find the switch for a ceiling fan
I can find the switch for my ceiling fan. The wall switch turns the lights on but not the fan. There is a switch on the motor area, but it does nothing.

The switch on the motor may be for reversing, did the Fan ever work, and how, by switch, pullchain.
If it never worked, you will need to remove the canopy and check power to the fan wire. May be disconnected, or not have power, You could hook the fan wire up with the lights wire, then the switch would work whatever the pullchains are set for.
