    Breakers/Outlets!
My wife was upstairs watching TV. All the sudden she heard a pop and the whole upstairs lost power. I go downstairs in the basement to see if the breaker tripped. It did not. I turned them on/off to make sure. Still nothing. I went around to check the outlets. I replaced two outlets. Still nothing. I went to every outlet to make sure all the wires were tight,I also put electrical tape around the inside components,so there was no "friction" from metal plates etc... I go downstairs and checked all the voltage on the breaker box. All the breakers are at 120. I ran out of ideas. I really can not afford a electrician to come out and look at it. Any advice out there? It is just the upstairs."2 bedrooms and a hallway". The rest of the house has power. Thank you!!

Were the outlets you removed wired using the screws on the side or using the quick connect holes in the rear?

2 BR and a hall would suggest breaker. Otherwise, it would have to be the first outlet for all the others to be out.
