    Baseboard Heater Help!
    Hi there.

I have recently wired my entire house with brand new Dimplex baseboard heaters and thermostats. All of the heaters work great but the problem is the thermostats are not working correctly.

The heaters turn on as soon as you move the stat dial past the lowest setting. They will never shut off until you turn the dial back to the very lowest heat setting (even if the temperature in the room is +20C!)

I have only one heater working off each stat. Wired using 12/2 with ground to 20amp fuses.

Can anyone give me some advice?

    Thanks!

    Jay

Hey jay. Some of those thermostats have settings in the back of them. And must be set on correct or certain letters or numbers . That's how you usually calibrate them . Hope it helps

What is the model number of the heater and thermostat?

Is the stat a double pole used as a single pole? If so one contact closes immediately when the it is turned on, and the other closes when heat is needed.

What is the voltage of the units?
