    3 way switch
Hi, I am hoping to add some lights and a light switch to my home. The feed is coming into an existing light, to another light, then to a three way switch, then to another three way switch and finally another light. My question is, is this a circuit that will work and if so how would I wire the switches and lights. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Your description " feed is coming into " as well as "then to a three way switch, then to another three " does not tell us about the wires and colors. You need a traveler wire between the switches. How to wire a 3 way switch - YouTube

Thanks for your response. I haven't yet installed the circuit, I was expecting to install 4 wire cables between the switches. As such I am, for the most part, flexible the feed is inflexible and will come from an existing light which I would like controlled by the switches, really all I am looking for is a diagram of the circuit as I haven't been able to find anything similar online.

"will come from an existing light " does not sound right. Feds go TO a light not come from them. Here is a basic diagram 3-Way Switch Wiring Diagram : Electrical Online : Electrical Online but there are many others also available via a search engine like Google. 3 way switch diagram - Google Search

Hi, again thanks. Please excuse my mistake here, the feed does go to the light as stated in the original posting, but as that light will remain I misspoke in saying it was coming from the light. Can you help?

Are you saying that you want to get power from an existing ceiling light fixture and install an additional light which will be controlled by two 3-way switches?
