    Since you don't have a 4 way, the two switch arrangement is called a 3 way. Imagine the four way switch in the center of the diagram. This will show a typical setup. The feed and switched leg can come and go in any box with some special splicing, but if you do it this way you can never go wrong.

    Take note the common on all 3 way switches is black or dark, the travelers are brass.
