    15 amp circuit
I have a 15 amp circuit in both bedrooms and just within the last 2 weeks, fuses are blown every other night. I've been living here for awhile and this has never happened before. Do you know why this is happening now?

Tell us what you have plugged into the outlets of the bedrooms.

In one room there is a TV, clock radio and air conditioner. The other room has a TV, surround sound stereo, Ipod radio and an air conditioner. The only difference from last year is the surround sound stereo.

What amperage is listed on the plates of the air conditioners.

Surround sound stereo may be the culprit, does it show you how much amperage it needs. Was it added since last year.

It is possible that you were running near the threshold of the branch circuit and the stereo pushed you over although I doubt it very much.

Yes, the stereo was just added over the winter. I can't find the amperage on the stereo or the air conditioners.

Donf is correct, you may be overloading the circuit. Unplug the stero, and see what happens.

Electronics are a very small draw, BUT... TWO A/C's are not.

I bet you were on the fringe of tripping the whole time and adding even a small amount more put you over the edge.

    NOTHING

Other than calling your landlord and ask him to have an electrician run another circuit.

Don't run both air conditioners at the same time.

You can get some of the load off the circuit by simply moving some things around. Try plugging your stero into an outlet un-associated with the overloaded circuit.
