I'm an engineering student trying to find resources on lasers. I have a project that I have a year to complete and I am going to use a laser to range find for a rover I am going to build. I've thought about tearing apart a handheld range finder and using that but that could take a while to figure out and I'm not sure if that would work. Are there any resources out there that could guide me to build one considering I'm a poor student and electronic components could be a cheaper option?
