Mazda B-2600 stalls out after warming up
I have a 1992 Mazda B-2600 pickup that starts up and runs good until it is warmed up, but then it will stall out and either not start back up or run so rough that it is not driveable. Once it cools down, it starts and runs normally again until it gets up to normal temperature.

Also, when I unplug the coolant/temp. sensor (located in the thermostat housing), the engine smooths back out and runs normal. I tried putting in a used sensor, but the sputtering/stalling returned?? Should I replace the coolant/temp. sensor?? Is this possibly the problem??

    Thanks.

Change the igniter (most likely) and coil. Here's what the igniter looks like and costs:

Here's what the coil looks like and costs:

Autozone may be able to test these items for free. My recommendation, however, is to replace them, due to the age of the truck. These are problematic components and reliability is worth something. If the problem persists, focus on the fuel injection main relay.

One thing that I forgot to mention when I posted my question concerning the 1992 Mazda B-2600 stalling, I can unplug the coolant temperature sensor (mounted in the thermostat housing), and when I unplug the wires from the sensor, the motor smooths out a runs good?? I tried another sensor (used) and the motor would still sputter and stall?? Should I go buy a new coolant sensor or is it something else??

Ok, so I have an old Homelite XL-12. It cuts fine for my needs, except it has began stalling and running erratically. 91 CRX Stalls then starts again [ 1 Answers ]

I've had this car for years, a few years ago the coil went bad and I had it replaced at an auto shop. Several months later it started stalling on me while driving. It wouldn't sputter or anything... it would just shut off. When I go to crank it again, it turns but doesn't start. If I wait maybe an...

Our oil furnace doesn't give us much heat in our bedrooms which are on the end of our home. We removed a wall in our kitchen a few years ago and it's very uncomfortable now. Our Home is 1354 Sq. Ft. and we think it should be warmer than it is. Any suggestions?

94 skylark stalls [ 1 Answers ]

I have a 94 Buick Skylark which has started stalling when I come to a stop. It only does it after maintaining a constant speed (hiway and such) and come to a complete stop. After it stops it stutters and dies. It will start right back in either park or neutral, but when shifted into a "movement"...
