The animal shelter in my home town in despicable!! The woman in charge of the facility absolutely loves killing the animals! She would rather kill them then adopt them out any day! It's sickening. I had a friend talk to this woman about a job there. She said, "If you don't want to kill them then you shouldn't be here." and wanting to kill them is what she does. This same friend started going there to take pictures of the animals and post them online, when she went there there was a litter of six week old puppies dropped off the day before. When she came back the next day the woman told her, "Oh they all had heartworms. I had to kill them." A few weeks later my sister in law went to adopt a dog, but the woman told her none of them were for adoption. Heartbroken she drove to the next town's Humane Society, where she told them what happened. They told her thy were familiar with that woman, and to call back, and she did from the humane society whre another worker informed her that they were ALL adoptable. She ened up leaving the humane society with a aussie/shepard mix puppy that the owners dumped when they realzied they got duped and it wasn't a cocker spaniel puppy, after they had its tail cut off and everything. This issue has been bothering me for months! This woman is purposely keepings the animals from good homes so she can enjoy killing them and no one seems to be able to do a thing about it! The Humane Society knows but they can't stop it, and my heart breaks every time I think of that horrid place.

I don't understand why the Humane Society won't intervene. Have you tried to write a letter to the director of the Humane Society? You may even call animal control and inform them of this. This is ridiculous! This woman should not be working in an animal shelter. You might even want to try to start a petition to get her fired, but you need to have solid proof, and not just hearsay. If this is really happening, she is no less guilty than Michael Vick, and should be charged!

Yes, you need to put all of this in writing. Also, see if you can get others from the Humane Society to write their own letters. You would be perfectly within your legal rights to contact your police department for advice or to open an investigation.

There are some very sick and deranged people in this world. If this woman really is one of them, she needs to be locked away from animals... and people.
