    Treating a new puppy.
How much love is too much with a new puppy? I don't want to spoil her, but I want there to be a bond.
    Thanks :)

Maybe it's just me, because I have a puppy, but I don't think that you can love your puppy too much. It's just a matter of what you let them get away with. You need to know where to draw the line as far as discipline goes. I would get your puppy into puppy classes as soon as you can, get her socialized and learning. =)

Yeah, I would hate to think that I could not give her all the love in the world. My mother has been telling me not to hold her or llet her on my lap as much. The dog is mine. I paid for her, I pay for her vet bills, but my mom wants to give input I guess.

Oh, and assuming there is no possibility of a doggie kindergarten, what age should I start allowing her to be around dogs of people I know and trust?

Well if she's current on all her shots and everything, I don't think it would be too soon now. We had our puppy around another dog the day we brought her home because we have another dog. If you hold your dog too much though, her muscles may not develop the way they would if she was walking around on her own.

You're welcome! Good luck with your new puppy. They're a lot of work but they are so worth it!
