    Roommate's dog but my dog
I recently moved in with my new roommate (we were co-workers) and we both have a dog. Within a week, her dog bit mine. This was a few days ago... and I am not sure if I should take him to the vet... I have been putting hydrogen peroxide on it daily... and still bubble white after days of cleaning it... again, I guess I am asking how to determine if the vet is needed!

Can you call your vet? I know sometimes they prefer that you just come in, but it could be worth a try. Are the animals both vaccinated, because if not I would definitely go to see the vet. And then you should ask your roomie to get her dog some help, perhaps both dogs.

Go and see your vet immediately! The bite could be worse than you think, and it could very easily get infected. Peroxide will help for the time being, but you should really have your dog checked out. Is your roomates dog up to date on all of it's shots? You need to make sure, and protect your dog because there could be other issues. Also, do not ever leave the dogs together alone until they have training and know their place in your home, and in the pack.

Thanks... we no longer live together... my dog is fine now...
It was just frustrating because my dog is 10, and he is a great dog, who is trained, loves to be around other dogs, and is very friendly. My roommates dog was 1 year old, she had not neutered him, and he was getting more aggressive every day. He even bit me a few times. It got to the point where my dog would never come out from under my bed. And my roommates dog ran the house... even with her. So I am not living with her anymore. Thanks for the thoughts!!

Glad to hear that the two dogs aren't together anymore. I just got a little worried, because right around the time you asked your question, my dog had been attacked and had to have 86 stitches. So definitely better safe than sorry! :)

Roommate's attempt to terminate co-signed lease [ 1 Answers ]

My roommate backed out of our co-signed lease two weeks before the lease's commencement. Can she force me to find or accept a subletter or is she still liable to pay her half the rent?
