Some sort of blockage, usually. Or urinary tract infection, and the pain is making the BM more difficult too.
I wouldn't let it go 24 hours without seeing a vet, even if you have to pay more for emergency. If it were just the bowel, you might wait another day or 2, but not urine too.

Thanks! Today I went to another vet and after x-ray he has been diagnosed as blockage in urinary tract. There are stone in the tract which has to be removed surgically. Tomorrow will be the tough day for my Tumtum (his name). God please bless him.!

I don't know if you were told any certain foods to give your dog or how old it is. Our dog had these stones at 9 weeks old. Also try and ask your vet if they think it is genetic or if it was just an infection. I just wanted to say that when looking at food Science Diet c/d was great. Our boy loved the taste and was on it for about the first 8 months we had him. Now that we have gone to the vet and found out it was an infection rather than a genetic trait our boy is back on normal foods.

Thanks. Today the procedure has been done. Vet says its because of infection. All the stones has been removed. I am very much anxious that how will I deal with the post-operation affects. He doesn't like medicine and vet gave him strong anti-biotic tablets to give him three times a day. Now it will be challenge for me. My Tumtum is eight-year male American spitz. Hope he will recovers soon.

I know it sounds silly, but we hid the medicine they gave us in mashed potatoes. Worked like a charm and he scarfed it. The scent of the potatoes masked the pill completely.

Oh OK! Its great idea. He loves tomatoes. Today vet removes catheter. Eight hours has been passed but its still not pass urine. He is eating normal diet. I called up vet and he says sometime it takes around 24 hours to pass the urine after operation. I don't know what to do. Still anxious.

Furnace stays on for 2 minutes
[ 2 Answers ]
I have a digital thermostat and my furnace seems to stay on for only 2 minutes at a time. It does this approximately every 10 min. The programmed cycle rate is 5/hr, so starting up every 10 min makes sense.
