One thing after another with my puppy
The title of this post is how it seems, but I love her to bits and am still glad she's mine. :)

So yesterday I stupidly (and won't ever again!) fed my 4 month old jack russell cross chihuaha puppy too many treats.

As a result, this morning she had some very soft poop... not quite diarrhea but nearly. Also after a while she had what I'm guessing you would refer to as mucus come out from her butt too.(several times) And she vomited in front of me on her blanket -it was white/cream.

She has refused to eat all morning, it is now afternoon. -So that's why her stomach has been rumbling really loudly so much, because she's keeping it empty. (not surprising if she's unwell)

She has slept all the time in her bed or on my lap, which isn't like her at all, she's usually very playful and energetic. -we didn't go for our morning walk as she wasn't up to it.

She only vomited the one time, and the poop/mucus from her butt seems to have stopped... for now, but she's still just sleeping, refusing to eat or drink anything, and she was shaking but that's stopped and was for about 30 minutes ish.

Is this anything to get concerned about?
Is there anything I can do to help her?
Im guessing I should just let her sleep it off, which I am... my poor girl

It might have to do with the exessive treats from yesterday. Dogs and puppies especially have sensitive stomachs. If they are giving too much fat or human food it can cause the diarrhea and vomiting. Dogs can get pancreatitis, which is when there pancreas becomes inflamed. This can be caused by trying to digest too much fatty food. Give your dog a day and see if she gets better. If she is still not eating or drinking tomorrow take her to the vet. Drinking is especially important. If she becomes dehyrated that can lead to other problems.

Unless there is blood in the stool I wouldn't worry about it right now. She is a puppy so next time you take her to the vet (which with puppies is often) mention it to the vet. Sometimes this is normal, sometimes it can be the start of something else. If the stool is runny or anything like that it could be worms. Take a stool sample with you next time you go in. They can do a stool float(I know gross) and make sure there is no worms.
