Mini Dachshund confussed on where to potty
My 3 1/2 month old mini dachshund seems confussed on potty training.
She will poop and pee outside when she wakes in the morning. She will
Poop outside 99% of the time. She wants to Pee inside. We will take her
Out and she will stay for 10-45 minutes and nothing. Then when we bring her
In she goes without warining. We do not know what to do? Or what we are
    Doing wrong. Any advise?

When you take her out, make sure she moves around enough to stimulate her to urinate. Make a big deal of praising her for it. Watch her more carefully inside. Sometimes they just seem to stop, drop and let it roll, but more often you will be able to catch her circling and sniffing. Also be quick to take her out if she approaches a previous spot.

Forget the pads, they only complicate things with a mixed message.

I have a miniature girl dachshund
She is about two years old
She uses it outside 95% of the time but when she uses it inside once she normally continues that for a while until she gets tired
Like today she has been using it inside ever since Tuesday and today is Friday and she just started doing good again
I keep her in a cage that is just her size but she still uses it
I take her out about 5 times a day because I have school from 8 am to 5
I have another female mixed dog he is about 9 years old and I got him fully pottied trained
I got my doxie at 3 months and she is still not trained!
I am confused on whether I should buy books on potty training , hire trainers to do it for me, get books from the library , or look on the internet and do it the old fashioned way
    Please help any ideas!
I am on the verg of giving her away!
    :(:(:(:(:(:(

Update: Nine month dachshund still has potty problems. [ 1 Answers ]

After taking her to the vet to talk about why she pees in her crate, he put her on antibiotics in case of a bladder infection and suggested I take out all her bedding, so urinating would be less tolerable for her. So for a little more than two weeks she was on medication and had no bedding, and...
