    My lab puppy refuses food
I have a 10 weeks old lab puppy.A couple of days ago my labrador puppy went off his food and now he is refusing practically every thing. I put down the dog food I normally give him what he normally loves, he runs over, sniffs then walks away. I have tried giving him other flavors of dog food in case he had just got bored with what I was giving him but he does the same thing. I have even tried covering the food with gravy and he is still not interested.
The only thing I have managed to get him to eat is a little of is some plain chicken and boiled rice with some steam veg added. But even after this he is turning his nose up. What could be wrong and what should I do?

Is this your first dog? Have you prepared yourself and read books on how to care for him and train him for various things?

First, don't confuse him by offering all kinds of food. One or more of our dog experts will be along soon to give you some tips on what and how to feed him. (I'm a cat person.) Potty training him is going to be another adventure for the pup and your family.

First I would say to make sure there is nothing else going wrong.
Any vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, generally not feeling like himself.
Is he playful? How are his stools, has he been dewormed and had his vaccines?
A good check up would be a good idea, as lab puppies generally are up for eating when they are fed.
If all is well, then stick to a good quality puppy food and offer that and only that, twice a day, when he figures out that is what he gets at his scheduled feeding times he should get the hang of it.
Don't give random treats save those as rewards for when you are training him.
Don't switch foods around so much.
Also, if there are other people living in your house, check with them to see if they are offering him treats and snacks during the day.
If he is getting treats all day he may not be hungry at mealtime.
