    Could you please elaborate on what you mean by 'picking' a dog? Are you looking for a pet or for another reason? I do not recommend trying to choose an animal for someone else.

    What experience do you have with dogs?

    What country do you live in? Is there a national registry for dogs like the American Kennel Club is for the USA?
