Does anyone know why my puppy does this?
I know his isn't health question but does anybody else's dog do this? When I ask my 10 month old yorkie mix to 'Come Here' He stares at me wags his tail and kind of turn his back end towards me while still looking forward at me. He walks away in that same position while growling and completely avoiding me. BTW: He does it to all my family members, but mostly my mom and me.

It sounds like a behavioral issue. He needs to be trained properly.

How did you figure that out Austengabriel? This behavior does not indicate lack of love.

Puppy probably gets enough, that may be the problem. He is not recognizing that his owner is the alpha yet, and needs to have more direction in that way, or as Alty put it better training. A 10 month old dog should 'come' (that is all you need to say) when called, amongst other things.

There is a saying that 'you don't do yourself any favours by not training your dog properly'.

Dogs don't really care about love, not in the way a human being does. For dogs, love is being fed, being cared for properly, having a place to sleep, being with their pack. Love won't fix a behavioral issue. In fact, most people screw up their dogs because they think love is enough. For a dog it's not.

My puppy has been using his training pads like an expert and randomly he decides he will NOT use them anymore and uses the floor. He even went to the extent of urinating on my boyfriend who is raising him along with me. What has caused this sudden change in a matter of hours, and what can we do?

Potty training an eight month old puppy from a puppy store [ 5 Answers ]

My husband and I were at a pet store a week ago and saw the cutest little 8 month old Ratpoo. He was 'on sale' as they were trying to get rid of him as he had been there for 8 months. Our hearts broke for him so we decided to take him home (we also have a 6 YO lab/pit mix girl). We put him in a...
