    Daschund training
Hey there I am and the process of trying to train my families miniture wire hair daschund.
She's has recently turned 1 and has what I like to little dog syndrome, she will go for other dogs aggressivly while being walked, and also barks consitantly when new people enter the house.

I am at my wits end on how to get her to stop the aggressive behaviour and barking could any one give me sum advice?:o

What sort of collar and leash do you use? I am a huge fan of the Gentle Leader head halter sold through Premier.com. They fit like a halter on a horse, give you much better control, and allows you to shut the dog's mouth if necessary. They do need to be fitted properly, but the company provides instructions.
Walk briskly, not allowing her time to get wound up about other dogs she meets. Praise her any time she does not show aggression.
Have her on leash when people enter the house, and instruct them to ignore her completely. When the barking does not change anything or get a reaction, she should calm down some. Use any opportunity to reward and praise quiet acceptable behavior.

Hi there, My Fiancé and I am looking at getting a baby daschund and I've heard that they can be barky. I can't have that where I live, so I was wondering if a calm "light spray of water in the face" method is considered effective, and if it's too mean to do to a younger dog?
