I also am concerned about how carefully you selected the parents for the puppies. Are their lines relative free of common health problems? Did you research problems common to Dachshunds? How about their temperaments? I get very upset about people are breeding dogs without educating themselves. They are a big part of the problem leading to the slaughter of 10,000,000 dogs a year often is inhumane ways after a short, miserable life. I have no idea how many questions I have seen from people struggling with poorly bred and socialized puppies. You at least still have time to learn how to give the puppies the care they need to be a pet and not a pain when they go to their new home.
