My 9 week old siberian husky puppy did not eat food yesterday and only drinks water.
My 9 week old siberian husky pup is not eating food. She is still drinking water but is throwing it up as well. She has a vet appt in a few hours but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and what the outcome was? When I got home from work at 530pm yesterday I saw she had not eaten any food in the bowl. She is sleeping a lot and looks a bit thinner.

A pup sleeping a lot is okay, that is when they grow, if no other health issues that is. Yes we have quite a history of posts like this involving pups. There can be many reasons this is happening and I hope one of them is not parvo. Your best bet is a complete diagnosis by the vet.

Well I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but my boxer was experiencing the same symptoms a couple of years ago, and it turned out to be Parvo. Luckily he survived the ordeal but it's a bad virus. Not trying to freak you out or anything, and it may end up being nothing at all, but a vet visit is def. a good plan.

We can't diagnose, and you're seeing the vet (I hope you got an answer), so it's probably useless answering this post, but I'll put my two cents in.

First I'd want to know when you got the puppy. The pup is only 9 weeks old, so the earliest you could have legally gotten her is a week ago. Still, I'd like to know when exactly you got her. Is this the first day? Second day? Third? Was she eating when you got her and suddenly stopped, or did you just bring her home and she hasn't been eating since? What food are you feeding her? The same food she was eating at the breeder, or different food?

    So many possibilities here.

She's young, so parvo is always a concern because she hasn't been fully immunized. But, based on what you wrote, parvo doesn't sound right.

My guess, if you had provided info on how long you had her, what you're feeding her, etc. would be a tummy upset from new food, or trouble adjusting to a new home.
