5 week old puppy sick after worming!
I have three 5 week old Papillion puppies. Yesterday I wormed them with Strongid and today one of them seems to be constipated, will not eat or drink anything at all. I offered him the Science Diet Prescription canned dog food I.D. but he won't touch it. I have given him a little water with a syringe, but he balks after a few drops. I have seen him try to go to the bathroom several times but he hasn't been able to. Does anyone have any suggestions that will help me avoid spending hundreds of dollars at the animal emergency clinic?

I think they were too young to be wormed. Would suggest you take them to the vets if they are reacting like this or you might lose one due to dehydration.

Not according to the vet - he said they were fine to be wormed at 2 weeks!

Everyone was mistaken. They are old enough to be wormed at 2 weeks, as per the vet - that is where I got the wormer. His illness is an abcess in the ear canal.

Get them plenty of water or you'll be forced to take them to the emergency vet clinic so they can put fluids in your pup's neck with a needle syringe. Emergency vet care is more expensive than vet care, go now.
