    Is Halalah necessary?
    Assalamo-alaikum,

A friend of mine was divorced many years ago, she was given 3 talaaqs all at once. She would like to know if she can remarry her ex-husband without Halalah. Her ex-husband during this time did marry someone else also.

    Thanks.

If she did not marry anyone meanwhile and if so, is not divorced or widow, she can not. It is her who has to get married and become available again for her first husband.

COntact a scholar on line if you need in depth answer. People should not lose their minds and divorce like this. See, men have one little authority if you say, and they abuse it!

    Salaam Irfansarwar,
Thank you for replying to my question. We are confused about this matter as a few people have said that they saw Dr. Zakir Naik's program in which he said Halalah is not necessary. I was hoping there was some way of claryfying this with him? Is there an online way of asking him a question or emailing him?

    Thanks.
