Your mother would have to file for custody of you. At the hearing you could make your wishes known. There's no guarantee your mother will get what she asks for but it's the only way of getting it to possibly happen.

It is not normal for a man to get full custody, was there some serious issue why the mom did not have you to start with ? Is that problem solved

In most states, at your age, you tell the judge where you want to live. The non-custodial parent will have to file a petition to modify the previous child custody order.
