Need to file for divorce but don't know his address
I need to file for divorce since I am engaged. The problem is I haven't seen by husband in over 13 years. We have no property or children together. I do not know where he is at. Last known address was in Jersey City, NJ. Did a people search online but no success. Can someone please tell me if there is a way I could get divorce even if I can't find my ex.

    Thnank you,

First, you have to file. The Court will tell you what you need by means of publication - publishing the notice in the newspaper.

    Different States have different "rules."

The Court may require you to hire a professional (usually a licensed private investigator) to attempt to find him. That person will probably be required to file an affidavit with the Court concerning his/her efforts and the final result.
