    Deducting alimony when divorce is not final yet
    I have been paying my spouse alimony all year and not sure if the divorce will be final at the end of 2010. If not can I still deduct the alimony paid if we are still married filing jointly tax status?

    1. is the alimony court ordered, or merely just being paid, pending a court order. ( being nice)
