I got my master's degree doing a distance learning program and it has been very well-accepted. And I think distance learning/online schools will become more and more valuable (and numerous) in the future. Just make sure your on-line school is accredited and you should be fine. One thought: Distance learning really does require a person to be able to stay on task and get stuff done. If you're the type of person who can self-motivate, then it should work well for you. If not, and you need specific deadlines and prodding, it might not be a good fit. Another thing to consider is the social interaction you'll miss when doing a distance learning program. That's hard, if not impossible, for some folks who love constant classroom interaction, face-to-face meetings, etc. Also, depending on your school, you might miss out on classroom discussions and the opinions and ideas of other students. Some schools have conferencing abilities which makes that aspect of school possible on-line (and some don't). One final thought... when I did my program I was able to do a local internship, which was a HUGE step in the right direction for me and opened up all sorts of career doors. Does your school or program have that to offer? Hope this helps a bit... let me know if I can answer any other questions. GOOD LUCK!!

In the US, if your degree is from a accredited university ( by the US Department of Education) then it is as good as any degree.
If it is from a mill that sells degrees then they are worth only the paper they are printed on.

AIU is a great school, they have a physical school also and do an online school.
