    HP Compaq can't get past log on screen
    When I boot up my computer the blue log on screen comes up and I click on administrator icon to log on it flashes loading your personal settings and then flashes saving your settings (as if logging of) then it just stays on the blue screen and I can't get in.
    I have turned the computer on and off unplugged it etc.
    Same thing happens in safe mode. HELP!

    Are there other accounts you can log through ? Have you done any driver upgrades or O/S upgrades right before this happened ?

    Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.
    What OS?


    If nothing comes to mind, would suggest a repair installation

    Repair Installation
    A Repair Install will replace the system files with the files on the XP CD used for the Repair Install. It will leave your applications and settings intact, but Windows updates will need to be reapplied.
