    Wisdom Teeth Curiosity
I got all four of my wisdom teeth out six days ago on Monday. It's Sunday now. The first day was super bad, but then it got somewhat better. I've been taking care of my teeth, but my left side is swelling up more now too and the pain has just gotten worse over the last few days. I can feel pain the most on my left lower tooth hole. It's not excruciating, so I don't think it's dry socket. It's probably about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10, so it's uncomfortable and annoying and it interferes with talking a little bit. I've been taking Advil, and I have a prescription for Vicodin if things get bad. I'm probably going to take more of that, even though I haven't felt the need since day one. I'm just wondering if this is normal, and if there is anything I can do to make the pain go away faster.

Btw, I've been doing the warm salt water rinses daily, and I brush my teeth after I eat just to make sure that food doesn't get stuff in my holes. I've mostly been eating soup and ice cream, and sometimes chocolate that I just let melt in my mouth.

Pain that gets worse days after the operation could be a sign of infection, so if things don't improve soon, get to your doctor as soon as possible, infection needs fast treatment.

I would be very cautious brushing .
No smoking and actually it does sound like it could be the onset of a dry socket.

If you can get some tea tree oil add 5 drops to a cup of water and GENTLY roll the water around the left side. Let it sit back there before spitting it out. Do that as many times as you can during the day.
If the pain gets worse by all means see your dentist.
