Why did it take my dentist a whole hour to only part extract my tooth?
I when to have a bad tooth removed today not a wisdom but the one before it.I felt quite a lot of pain throughout the whole extraction and I endured this pain for a whole hour and they only got half my tooth after drilling,they found it very hard trying to get the other part which they have left in now till I go back for a check up in 5 days will it harm me having bits of tooth still there?

Hi, About 6 months ago, my husband saw a dentist. The dentist refused to do any cleaning, saying all he would do would be an extraction, and referred him to a periodontist. We went to the periodontist who said he needed Osseous surgery, and quoted us almost $3000 (and likely more after that......
Could I know what complications to expect when the dentist fails to remove my impacted wisdom tooth. The whole tooth was retained and gums where sutured back.
