    Tooth filler
I saw a TV add, too quickly to write it down, offering a white tooth filler to, of course, fill a void in teeth. Do you know of this or a similar product and, if yes, do you know if it works? (A large filling fell out of a molar; this makes chewing difficult in that area).

It is actually a composite resin and as far as I now nothing new about it, other then my dentist uses that on teeth that are visible, as in front, silver is used on molars where it can't be seen.

Best to visit your dentist and have the molar filled before the tooth breaks down to the point where more money has to be spent to repair the damage.

The product I'm seeking is advertised as a do-it-yourself substance to fill in tooth voids. PS: it would, of course, be best to have a dentist do it but the cost is too much for that service at this time. Larry

The only problem with that is, although you think it is cost saving, it won't be in the long run. You are not getting the hole in your tooth cleaned out properly before you put a filler in. I would never consider this. You only have one set of teeth. Why not spend the extra money to save the tooth. What you could be looking at down the road is a painful tooth, if decay is in the hole, and an expensive root canal, and it will still cost you to have the tooth pulled if you decide that way.

So what money have you saved, considering the alternatives?

Some of you obviously have never lived in poverty. When there is NO MONEY.. there is NO MONEY... dang!
ONE tooth is 1500. That is more than some people make in 3 months. You people shouldn't be on here answering questions you obviously have NO clue about!

Brush your teeth with armor hammer baking soda, first. Next use colgate tooth paste. Rinse with an astringent like listerine. Concentrate on the tooth area you will be working on. Invest in: 1) a natural cleaner 2)tooth whitener. 3)stainless steel dental picks.

Miracle II natural soap is EXCELLENT for everything! It's natural AND you can swallow it. You only use a pin-size amount and it is GREAT for the rest of your body and house. This will clean out the tooth area and disinfect it and more.

Get dr. george's dental white. It's the BEST out there. Both of these you must order online. They are not in the stores anymore. dr. george's whitener is fast working, will clean and whiten. Clean between your teeth with it and use the stainless steel dental picks to scrap and floss. The pointed tip is SHARP and will punture if you're careless or moving fast. You these picks between teeth after spreading the dental white paste on and between your teeth.

These are well worth the investment and will successfully maintain you between dentist visits. Your teeth will be white and clean.

The tooth refill kits,, doesn't seem to work great. It doest easily stay on/in the teeth. Take your time using it. And don't rinse your mouth until it is set and dry inside. You can purchse these at CVS or walgreens. The product "DentTemp" does not work.

I think the 'tooth filler' should only be used as an emergery situation. (EX: on vacation in another country and lost a filling) If you lost a filling there most likely decay there. You HAVE to get rid of that decay, or it will keep rotting, and you will have not fixed a thing. If money is a true problem, try to find a free clinic. I guess what I am trying to say is, go to a professional.
