    Questions about my teeth
Hi my name is jason I'm 16 years old and I have braces.my fist question is all the spaces on my bottom teeth are close what ismy dentist waiting 4 shouldn't he take them off or is he going to take them off when the top are ready to come out?2nd question is I feel like I can't settle my teeth down parelle one on top of the other I think someething is wrong with my jaw, mabe my biteplate? My dentist was going to give me a biteplate but then he decided to take a different direction and now all of my front teeth are connected all the way to the teeth in the back,do you think ill be able to shut my jaw right when the top teeth are straight.3rd I'm going to cali for the winter and will I be able to schedule some kind of dentistry over there because I really need to get these off because all my friends are a grade older then me and there going to graduate this year and I want to get my braces off so I can get with some girls I like lol and I don't think they want to make out with some kid with braces.another thing is that I went to the dentist a long time ago and he told me to get a water jet to clean my gums and with this water jet, comes too different levels a gentle cleansing and a more effective cleansing and I was using it and I think it ripped a part of my gum and now I got this kind of little tiny bubble thing right between my teeth is there a way I could make that go away,is there a way to make my gums nicer and less rinkly.I got my braces on in July 07 and I'm hoping ill get them off in April or march do you think hell be able to take them off in time.
I really don't like them at all.

One other thing since I can't close my teeth right my top teeth are just hovering above the bottom sometimes resting on top of each other un even and sometimes I get these twitches or sudden movement and my front teeth bump into each other will this effect my braces or is it nothing to worry about.

First off, use your water jet on a lower more gentle setting. If you are using it to clean around the brackets (braces) make sure that the water doesn't touch the gums (place the tip above the bracket or below the bracket pointing away from the gums)

Your lower braces are possibly in a retention phase until the upper teeth are in place. As you've been noticing there is a lot of movement of the upper teeth that is causing you concerns with your bite.

Ask your dentist how long the braces will be on yet. Often it takes 18-24+months for the teeth to move into place before the braces are removed and retainers placed.

Leaving the dentist who has been managing your orthodontics (braces) for a few months may slow things down even if you do see another dentist while away.

In the meantime keep your teeth as clean as possible and watch the sugars you eat and drink so you don't have a lot of cavities when the braces do come off.

    Good luck!
