Cheapest Country for dental Treatment?
I need an implant as one of my front teeth has snapped after a fall... where would the cheapest place be to go for that treatment and other dental matters?

If you add the airfare to the dental treatment, won't it be expensive practically anywhere?

I usually manage to get cheap flights to most places... just depends on the date! I shop around.

Go to Syria. There, it is a lot cheaper than the states.

Frankly, I have confidence in dentisty practiced by dentists in my own country, the USA but here's what I did. Found a dental school where there are good residents (not students), price was half of dentist in private practice. I had very very good results. Most states have one, two or maybe three Schools of Dentisty.

I heard that mexaco was pretty cheap. Why would you take a chance?

I don't recommend going out of the states to have any surgery, especially cosmetic because I have heard way too many HORROR stories especially in Mexico where they do illegal practices without a license an most do not use novacaine for anything.

You don't want to mess around with implants. Make sure whoever you see KNOWS what he's doing! I work in Canada for a dentist who does a lot of implants. It's a process and don't expect to leave the dental office the same day with the tooth in place. It could take up to 18 months from start to finish. You may need bone grafting to be sure there will be enough bone to support the implant.
Going to a reputable Dental School is a great idea. It may mean spending hours in a dental chair but at least you know it will be done right. You will probably only have to pay for materials.

I have had to get some dentistry in Mexico, it is sort of like going into the 1930's in the US as for as their level of care.
The idea is you want a good professional job, done where you can get follow up care if needed.
