Brushing too hard gums and roots
I have a tendency to brush my teeth too hard to the point that now the roots of my teeth are showing. I started w/1 tooth now I have 3 teeth were my roots are showing. If I use the whitenning mouth wash it burns.

Wha can I do? Will the fillings help?

You should think about switching to an Oral B Triumph power brush. It will tell you when you are using too much pressure AND it's action is not one that causes wear.

If you don't want to switch brushes be sure you use ONLY ultra soft toothbrushes and don't scrub back and forth. Roll your brush toward the biting edge of the teeth from the gumline.

Use a sensitivity toothpaste like Sensodyne instead of the whitening paste you are using.

Have your dentist check your bite. Clenching and grinding can also cause roots to become exposed.

If you can brush the roots that are exposed gently and thoroughly it's best if you can avoid having fillings placed. Fillings at the gumline end up being an area for bacteria to collect causing gum inflammation and/or cavities.
