When people die, many things effect how we react, first how close we are, I hear of people dying every day, but either don't know them at all, or barely know them, If you and your aunt was not close then you would have little reaction. Also if the person was suffering, we often may be relieved that their pain and suffering is over
And of course for those close to us, sometimes we go though various stages with each stage lasting different times, from hours to years

We all grieve differently. My father died last month and I hardly cried. I was VERY close to him, he was my hero. As The Padre says, we may often be relieved that their pain and suffering is over, as was the case with me.

There is nothing wrong with you if you don't cry. It just means that you grieved differently than the rest of the family, and that is okay.

I believe there is a lesson to be learned for every one of us. Some try it on their skin while some others try to learn from the others experience. I guess even though we [humans] have been around here for a while we still didn't get that being alive is the blessing. People around us die just to remind this, life is short and precious. They leave us with memories (both bad and good memories serve us well if we are able to use them), affection, wisdom (their) and with a lot more desire not to mess up the few days we have on earth. There is also another thing we can learn from death. We are not alone so let's live a life which can teach something to the others, let's us be missed when gone.
