Ok first I would like to say that my girlfriend and I have a 5 year relationship going strong (these previous 3 years of it we have been dating). So my girlfriend and I talk a lot (mostly to eachother) and when we aren't home, we text or call as often as possible, except for work, driving, or doing other things that occupy our time. It's always back n' forth, we never really have to wait long for a reply (if it's texting).

Well recently, and that being a week or so, if I missed a text by a minute or two, she sends another text usually saying: "What are you doing?" or "Who else are you talking to?". Even though it's not like her at all, I shrug it off and reply. Though in most recent times such as the last couple days, I will send a text and she won't reply for a couple hours (which is also oddly not like her because if she isn't going to reply, she would let me know). I'm currently at a loss and for some odd reason I feel as if she's having her friends follow me around... everywhere. I could use some help or ideas about how to handle what's going on.

P.S. I'm sorry for the long wall of text, I didn't have time to space it out. I'm also sorry for poor grammar/spelling, I was running short on time.

You say the relationship is going strong but it sounds like there is some trouble brewing.

It's probably time to have a real talk...like real people do...without the texting. Have a talk and find out what's going on with both of you.

Is there reason you haven't sat and talked face to face?

Well we both go to 2 different colleges over 40 minutes away, but we see each other on weekends. That's the reason we text or call each other more often than anything, we do however talk like normal people while we are with each other.

How often do you get to actually be with each other as texting and calling is not an ample way to bond or discuss anything. Time and distance makes the human mind fill in the blanks with all kind of BS that are not based in facts.

Its up to the couple to filter outside influences and situations to move forward and that's through actual conversations. Normal? I don't know what that is.

Finally what stops you both from MAKING time to talk face to face about issues that arise. 40 minutes away is not that great a distance if there is a problem to be solved.
