    Online dating sites
This is probably just me asking to be flamed, spammed, or worse. Oh well, let the games begin.

I don't like going out by myself. I visit bars and whatnot, but I am always there with a friend. Thus, I depend on the wonder world of the internet for meeting people. My current dating site of choice is not really turning out anything new lately, so I was kind of wondering what other people use.

I'm looking for something free. With this economy, I just can't afford to fork over $20+ a month for a dating site. I'm also looking for something that is friendly to "alternative" lifestyles. Most of the free dating sites (or paid for that mater) seem to be geared toward the "vanilla" relationships. I am far removed from this.

Maybe the wrong place to post this. Maybe the wrong site to post this. Input is appreciated, though :D

This is a really good free site because they advertise group gatherings and different things in your area. So even if you don't meet a guy you can still have some fun meeting people.

    Free is the issue

I have gotten plenty of dates from sites like Yahoo Personals, Eharmony and others. Eharmony ( unless you have a non traditional life style) was the best, I meet women in my social and economic area. And was well worth the money.

And to be blunt, if you can't afford the 20 to 50 dollars, you could not afford to take them out to dinner anyway.
    ** think about it,

often it is what value something is, is it 10 sodas a month, or two times eating out worth finding someone.

And to that special person I am now dating, HI, love you sweetheart.

The problem with free sites is that some people might not take it seriously. The ones who pay are the serious ones. Anyway, the amount that you spend on 1 or 2 beers at a bar is already enough to cover your online dating fees.

How about getting introductions from friends of friends?
