"Not Feeling It" anymore - wait it out or bail now?
I've been seeing a guy for a year and a half now and was always really into him (maybe even too much)... but I feel like the tide has turned within me. At first, I started feeling "lonely in the relationship," longing for something deeper. Last night on our date, I didn't have that "I want you" (not meaning sexual) feeling inside. To tell the truth, I found it hard to look at him lovingly and when he touched me it felt like an immature boy trying to cop a feel. The odd thing is that I don't think he acted any differently than normal.

Is this a phase, or has my subconscious made up its mind that he's not the one?

I'm not sure if he felt it too. I don't know whether this is something we should talk about, or, should I wait to see if my feelings change next time we meet?

Not too sure if this is the type of situation where you can just sit down and talk, because any way you put it will sound like a 'dear john'. Best to play it by ear and if your heart still feels the same as your mind, then I would say, he isn't the one.

Married people go through the same thing about once a month. I feel you need to sit down and do a serious what if about this relationship. Yes, you are not married. That is a good thing. You need to analyze your feelings and try and come up with some clear answers. Maybe it is time to move on? Maybe it is time he got off the couch and proposed to you? I don't know. But what I do believe is that you need to figure out what it is and fix it.

I know what fiona means. All of a sudden the veil lifts and you don't quite see or feel the same way about that person anymore. For me, that's a deal breaker and I can't go on with that particular person any longer.

Don't it suck when you have feelings that must be dealt with?

Yours have changed and for whatever reason, that means making a decision for yourself, that true to those feelings.

Disappear for 3 days to yourself, and have a great time, and see how you feel when you get back.
