It might be great but as you see it isn't worth it in the long run.
You need to break out the cycle of going back to him because it only doing more harm than good and because of your feelings for him your unable to be friends with him.
It's going be hard but your going have to take it day by day. Right now your addiction is him and like many other addictions they are hard to break but it doable.
Stop talking to him, for real this time. If you talk to him this is only going interfere in your "getting over him process". Also, don't communicate with him over the internet.
Thoughts of him are going creep into your mind but when it does think of something else. Mind over matter. Think of your mind as a TV and you got the remote in your hand. Now when your watching the box and don't like what's on you change to the next channel. Do that but with your mind. Also, our mind plays tricks on us because after a break-up we tend to focus on the good times well think of the bad.
Don't walk around sad instead put a smile on your face and know that you deserve better. Get out and go pamper yourself. Get your nails, hair, feet, or buy yourself something nice, etc Get your friends together and go out and paint the town red. Don't watch sad movies or listen to depressing songs. Turn on Arthea Franklin "I Will survive" and use it as your motto.
Life is short and time is precious, you can't get it back. Once your only him your going reflect back and wonder what was wrong with you for being stuck over him. Life is about learning and your going learn that you don't need man to validate who you are and sometimes the person your with isn't any good for. Because after all what don't kill you only makes you stronger.
