    Boyfriend texting another girl?
    My boyfriend and I have been seeing each other for 6 months. He has a female friend from before me. She lives far away. He says they are just friends. They slept together once but says he regrets it as he is not attracted to her. He stopped all contact 3 months after we were together. We went away on a trip a couple of days ago. I caught him on his phone when I walked into the room. He tried to hide his phone, I asked why he was acting so supicious... he was texting the other girl again. I asked to see the messages but he had erased them all. He swears its all inocent but I just don't know. He has told me he shouldn't be texting her just he feels sorry for her. Should I forget it?

    That is a pretty thin line, I have the same kind of friend myself... if it is as innocent as he claims let him talk to her and then he should have no reason to hide what they are talking about... if he still deletes them so you can't read them then you may have a problem

    My fist thought after reading your post is: Why hide it if it isn't suspicious...

    If it's harmless, then why would he need to hide it? It really does sound suspicious. Huge red flag. You're going to have to confront him about this, especially now that the trust is shaken. It might actually be harmless, but I would suggest that you proceed with caution.

    My opinion is that if it was harmless, and meant nothing, then why do these types of phone calls take place in private.

    Why not receive or make the phone call up front, out front, and straight up like you would talk to your mother.

    To suggest that nothing is going on is a bit of a stretch, considering the secrecy alone.

    He is not over her, and chooses to keep that option over, should things not work out with you I think.
