While my ac is running it switches to heat "pls help"
Need some help with this inquiry please. I have a lennox heat pump and air handler. The compressor went out and luckily it was still under warranty and lennox recommended a local lennox ac repair company that replaced the compressor, but I had to pay for the labor which has now cost me appr $550.00. It ran great for a month or so. Now I will have the AC on and all of a sudden the Heat switches on. I turned the power breakers off on the airhandler and the thermostats and waited till the next day and turned it back on and it ran fine. The next morning the heat came back on. In the mean time I called the local lennox ac repair company again and they came out and shut the unit off and back on and it ran fine and they said it works and left; my wife was home Now I pay this genious another $65.00. Within three days it did it again and I called and they came out and they called lennox and they think it is the condenser motor, capacitor and the fan blade. He did mention the rversing valve but he acted as if he wasn't sure. Please help me. Oh yeah lennox sent the parts out and they were the wrong ones and now looks as if I'm going to have to pay for them coming out with the wrong parts that lennox sent them also. The correct parts are suppose to be on order. I have been taking off work and running back and forth I have about had it. Please help with this nightmare. What could it be and what should I do?

A/C or Heat doesn't work in "on" or "auto". Fan will not come on at the "on" position either. I changed the batteries in the thermostat. I also read somewhere to disconnect the "Y" and hold it to the "R" on the thermostat for two minutes. That will tell me if the thermostat is the problem. ...
