there are 727 billionaires in the US with a TOTAL accumulated wealth of $4.4 trillion . Let's just assume we could confiscate ALL their wealth (and not have a residual crash of the economy ) . How long would their wealth fund the total Federal ,State and local expenses (about $9 trillion ) ? Yup ;less than half a year . And that is it . Once you seized all their money they would have none left to further fund the nation. So it would be a one off.


So when Bezos and his d@ck shaped rocket gets mocked remember that the biggest d@ck when it comes to spending is the government .

I thought about it and I have a better idea. Why not confiscate the wealth of everybody (roughly $100 trillion - net) and that way the federal, state and local governments get a free ride for ten years.
